83998 - Window Motor - Aftermarket

Best price for a part that works, not oem exact

This part fits my 89 Ranger passenger side window and works fine. It is not an exact fit, the part is made differently than oem, there is no way to put the bottom motor brace to the door back in. The absence of this brace does cause the door panel to move a very little when window is at top and bottom.. Also the thee bolt holes are not threaded. The oem bolts are self tapping with some force, make sure you run them in to thread the motor before you try to install. My wire colors were backwards for the switch, make sure you test them before you crimp the wires. I am satisfied, this was the cheapest part I could find with shipping included. It is fine if you are after the best price and not after an exact replacement part. Good part for my old beater truck.

I have had six of these two stroke generators over the years and I can say the only good ones came from the discount tool store. Wait for a coupon and buy the red one there. Their product has a lower wattage, but it runs much better and it is easy to return if you do have a problem. The black one pictured cranks and runs poorly as have others that come from sources other than previously stated. I also broke the rope in it in the first week from so much pull starting, although pulling would be more accurate because it rarely started. All of these two stroke generators look the same and probably come out of the same Chinese plants but the ones from the tool discount store must have better components or quality control. I bought this black one because it was a very low price with a sale and discount code, but I should have known better and bought the red one. I have a carburetor and starter housing on order now for it, when the rope broke it chewed up the starter pawl. I only ran it about eight hours total. Hope this helps you in making your decision.
