Really good value for the price
When I first inserted the plug the fit didn't seem to be quite as tight as the Toshiba original, but the plug stays plugged in just fine. The adapter charges the battery as quickly as the original. Replacement from Toshiba would cost $95 so this is a real bargain

Remote is fine, DVD player may need a new sensor however
The DVD remote wasn't working so I purchased this as a replacement. Unfortunately I'm still not getting a response from the DVD but that doesn't mean that the remote is faulty, it may be that the sensor has gone bad on this twenty year DVD player, so I'll check the sensor next.
The remote looks brand new so I would be surprised if it that is the reason the DVD is not responding.
