THESE PROTECT YOUR TANK FROM DISINTEGRATING THE INSIDE

I got mine from Lowe's in Federal Way ,Washington... And just want to inform people , That these zinc strips ,are for areas with super hard water..They are like a zinc strip for boats ,so it doesn't get eaten away.l Just like the inside of your tank... it will eat the rods, and NoT your steel tank.. This guy posting about the 'ODOR'.. I mean CoME ON dude.. If you have stinky water, contact your city ,request them to flush and treat the water mains in the neighborhood. They Flush lines around here once a year, and treat with bleach ,chlorine, W/E.. if your on a well.. WeLL then , change out filters in the pump house.. Or install a filtration system at your place before water gets to the taps..Good Luck.. But yeah these rods work great.. and not sure about odor..
