Cutese Vampire of al
This figure of Shinobu Oshino is the cutest of all the Shinobu figures available. I decided that when all the figures were being released but had not really decided to buy her until recently. Not really being a fan of the Monogatari work, I still found this figure to be captivating enough to purchase her. She looks great as a front and center display in my display case.
Small (about 6.5 inches tall), but highly detailed she is a welcome addition to my figure collection.

Brilliant Storytelling
With this film, Mamoru Hosada joins an elite class of anime filmmakers. The film starts like may high school friend stories but moves into a deeper study of how a girl comes to possess a unique power and how she learns to use it. But this film's crowning glory is the last 30 minutes of deep, heartfelt experiences for our heroine. This has become one of my all-time favorite films. A True Classic!

Psychological Thriller
Here's another U.S. Manga series that seems to have slipped below the radar. At first glance, it looks like another Sci-Fi story, but it's not. This deals with the psychology of victims and their revenge. It is rather grim in many spots but I found it to be a fine series. This one will leave you thinking, a fact that I find to my likeing in most of my Anime collection. Being a mature person, the usual stuff of Anime leaves me flat, but the really thought provoking or deep subject material gets me each time. Soooooo, this one sits well with me & I recommend it completely. WARNING: there is a rape scene in this, but it is more implied than actually shown.
