Too small. But reasonable energy use. And the old temperature dial for more control.
4 of 4 found this helpful I'd seen the normal 9 and 5 tray versions, and this one is much smaller! It's more squished vertically, so you really can't use all four trays at the same time, unless you're doing totally flat things like crackers. Also, the whole thing is smaller in area than the normal one. So the screens are smaller and this dehydrator is NOT compatible with the normal screens. But I really like how it doesn't use a monstrous amount of wattage. The 9 tray one uses 600 watts, while this one only uses 220. And as some might know, the current models start at 105° F, and this one starts at 95° F, which might be useful if you really want to make sure to keep things raw/living.
