A very good solution for mic'ing drums
With this mount you can place a mic just about anywhere you need to on a drum, although with this flexibility comes a bit of confusion. I think some people will have less trouble than others. I have difficulty finding the best configuration, but with time I always get it exactly where I want it. After a few times it's easy. it's the only mounting system I've used, so I can't compare it to other designs. It's strong and stable.

Although it's not unbreakable, it is the same as the original.

Cut the cable!
I have no experience with TiVo or similar technology, except for the Channel Master PAL7000. The new DVR+ is a huge improvement. I am so much happier with this unit. The bottom line is that you get free broadcast TV and a decent interface. Yes, it's pricey, but compared to buying cable or sat, it's cheap. I recommend it without hesitation.
