The plates fit perfectly in my vest with the pads. I’ve actually worn it hiking quite a bit frequently as it’s also doubles as a weight vest (low visibility) that I wear when hiking. Also it’s a relieving thought that when hiking or hunting I have some protection if, or when, human error occurs at a bullet comes hurtling towards me.
