Quality spare battery
OK so its only a spare battery for an Icom radio but it makes multi day trips safer as you can take spare batteries and thus have your radio on all the time you are on the water. I considered buying a Chinese copy, but as my life might quite literally depend on my radio, I went for the real thing. Next day delivery was much appreciated and I really like this company as they also provided a speedy turnaround when they replaced the battery in my PLB.

Cheap and easy expresso
2 of 2 found this helpful For the money, this is a treat machine. The plus side is that it is ready to use very quickly, it has an integrated grinder so the whole package is very compact. It’s relatively easy to produce great expresso and you can play around with the settings to your hearts content fine tuning the grinder, the water quantity and the dose. The magnetic tamper is very neat and always to handand it comes with some nice accessories such as the milk jug and the razor dose control for levelling the coffe prior to fitting the port a filter. I got the black one as the stainless version looked to be easy to cover in finger prints if some examples I have seen are typical, and the black version looks great. .
Being ultra picky, the grinder control is rather coarse compared to more expensive dedicated grinders, and only having one boiler for both steam and expresso makes life a little more complicated, the steam is also relatively low pressure, certainly when compared to machines costing a lot more.
Overall, a great introduction to expresso brewing, and I'm sure more than enough for most people,but also a good machine to learn on if you decide to take it further.

Great leak proof hose clamp
How can you find something to write about a hose clamp? Quite easily actually as these actually work on that corrugated 1 1 inch hose widely used for pond filters. Other types of clamps have either a bolt head or a screw and I’ve found both quite hard to get a decent seal and have to use lots of plumbers tape, these seem to have the wires at the right spacing and of the correct width for the grooves on the pipe and the handle makes them easy to do up, with an extra twist from a pair of plyers completing the job if you want ultra security. Very highly recommended.
