Not suede
Made of vinyl not suede, like giant elastoplasts but thicker. A clear breach of trade descriptions regulations. I suppose you get 10 of them (5 pairs) so you get what you pay for. Just wish they had been truthful in the description and not tried to deceive.

Poor Value, Avoid
3 of 3 found this helpful A good idea very badly implemented. The photo flatters a great deal. The supporting rods are thin, 1.5mm, coated wire. The plastic sheeting is very thin, reminding me of the kind of plastic used in supermarket loose veg bags. The packaging plastic seemed better quality than the product inside. If I saw these in a pound shop I wouldn't touch them. I've got some coated wire hangers that are 3mm thick that I can straighten out and attach to some heavy duty clear plastic sheeting. That's the kind of quality I thought I would get for this money. So I'll re-use the concept in any case. I wonder what products those writing good reviews got - not what I received for sure. Bait and switch - seems too common on eBay these days.

Good Startin Point
It's a fairly comprehensive kit for basic needs. It isn't be best quality possible but then that would cost significantly more. I would recommend it for occasional, one off, or emergency use but you would probably want to migrate up the quality scale for frequent or professional use. For information, you use put the needle in the wax regularly whilst stitching thicker leather and it make it a lot easier to go through the leather layers.
