Very nice tank for the price, but not the best!
This is a review of the "Poco Divo", (or Huanqi as my instructions state), model 552 RC tank.
I just got one of these and it's a very neat tank, with some cool sound effects and movement. First I would say that although various sellers keep listing this tank as an M1A2, you can be assured that it is absolutely not an M1A2. It looks closest to a German Leopard II tank. There are a couple of versions of this particular model with one being Bluetooth controlled, and one like mine being controlled by a dedicated remote control. I believe Huanqi made several versions with different features and different sizes, (scales). I definitely prefer the later, (which is what I have), because I have had a few different RC vehicles like cars, tanks, and aircraft and I don't like having to constantly look at my phone to control the vehicle so that I don't accidentally hit the wrong button. I have a couple of small quadcopters that have gone into the trees because I accidentally touched the wrong "button", (because on the phones the controls are so close together and you have no tactile feedback to know what you are doing).
Anyway, back to this tank. It certainly has nice detail and the sounds it makes are nice. The movement of the turret is really good, but the rest is only ok. I'm not crazy about the non-proportional control. Making the tank move forwards, backwards or turning is all or nothing. You can't lightly touch the control sticks to make it move slowly or turn slowly. It isn't terrible, but I think they could have done better.
Another issue is that the turret can NOT turn 300 degrees as is advertised with this model. It can only go to 180 degrees, (90 degrees to the left and 90 degrees to the right from the centerline).
Another plus on this model is the ability to mute the tank sounds from the controller just by pushing a button.
Overall I would say it is a nice and fun little tank , especially for kids, (but adults can have fun too). It is pretty inexpensive for the cool factor. If you really like tanks and want something with lots of detail, realistic sounds and movements, then you do not want this tank. If however you are looking for something cheap, looks good and is fun to play with, then this is your RC tank.
Again this was a review of the Poco Divo "Huanqi" model 552 RC tank.
