Best of 2006
Ojos de Brujo is a band from Spain. They play high energy, intense flamenco with elements of rap, electronica, jazz, funk, r & b. This is the tightest and most intersting, exciting new music that I've heard in a long time. Certainly the band's best release as well. These are monster musicians with lots of soul. I'm looking forward to hearing them live in San Francisco in June '07. Jaw-dropping rhythms. World music with a capital W.
