Prsilla loves being "hippo in charge" selling on eBay. We moved to West Sacramento, California in February 2022 after 11 years helping wildlife -- some bears but no hippos! -- in South Lake Tahoe, California, and before that: 9 years in Mount Shasta and 30 in San Francisco! Whew! We stay busy knitting, sewing, and writing a book about fun times in San Francisco.

Versatile, Flattering, Classic
This classic shirt pattern has bust darts AND released pleats from a back yoke! You can play with various fabrics for cuffs, collar, front button band, facings. You can add trim or get a cowgirl style.

Complete Guide -- and So It Is!
They stopped teaching sewing in the schools, so now we have a bunch of idiots out there teaching basic sewing online. Any edition of this Reader's Digest complete sewing book is worth its weight -- and it's heavy. With a bit of common sense and careful study, anyone can set up the machine, prewash their fabric, lay it out smooth, make sure the pattern is bigger than the person, and do their own sewing class. The book has special help for fine-tuning fit, working with fabrics like satin and velvet, sewing for kids -- all the way to tailoring that pricey blazer. Yes, it explains hand-stitched buttonholes, machine=made buttonholes, and those fiddly bound buttonholes. There are sections for using a serger, and making curtains -- those fancy floor to ceiling "window treatments" -- all in this book. Real slow fashion, slow and steady. With lots of helpful pictures. High End Knitwear Design Fully Explained
This author is the best! Many knitters would be happy if the sweater goes on and the recipient smiles. This book is for advanced knitters and/or very determined knitters who are confronted with fit challenges. This is for people who want to design their own fine knitted garments and don't mind knitting swatches, figuring their stitch and row gauge, devising schematics, taking lots of measurements. Shirley gives complete instructions for several garments, including the marvelous coat pictured on the cover.
