Exact Replacement Part
The handle is exactly the same as the original part. I hoped that I would be able to pop it into place easily after removing the old broken handle but that proved to be not the case. I didn't want to force it too hard for fear of breaking the new handle. When I tried to push it in to get the lock tab to engage, it was pushing in the metal of the door. So instead I removed the door from the dryer (4 screws) and then removed the back of the door (4 screws) and then was able to help the lock tab over the metal edge and reassemble the door and reattach it to the dryer, about 5 minutes total time. I am very happy with the results and it should last another 15 years. It is great that these replacement parts are still available and relatively easy to install for anyone with mechanical ability. Thank you.
