Solved my problem!
I had my house painted and the double-wide garage door was painted shut. When I opened it the old operator bracket bent and completely ripped off the door. I repaired it, but due to the thin sheet metal it ripped off again. Not much to grab on to and all my holes were stripped out. The design of the Wayne Dalton Operator Bracket allows for larger screw to tap into the steel cross frames and the adjustable channel design gives added strength the old design lacked. I did have to use longer self tapping bolts on the bottom bracket to go through my cross frame for a solid connection and pre-drilled to start the larger self tapping screw.
Also my pin was too large for the connecting bracket hole that the J-rod to the opener attaches to. The correct size pin would be an improvement to this otherwise great product. Looks great, very strong, and saved having a professional come out to repair my door. Great product!

Complete rebuild kit
