Enhancing one's listening pleasure for relatively modest outlay.

Somewhat contentious, the use of after-market fuses especially their effect as to the sound of one's component or system. Traction for some, snake oil for others. My mileage may not be yours. I have had recommendations that I finally could not endorse; and, ones that I could countenance, with the provision adumbrated above. A fuse primarily exists as a safety feature and negating said should not be advised. It is there to fail should circumstances arise. With a sacrificial component how much money might be deemed appropriate? Your play. I have my sentiment concerning how much willing to spend. Of the after-market fuses at a price around the cost of a AHP fuse not one that I have tried delivers the benefits in reproduction that I have found with AHP, best summarised as an ease, an 'enhancement' of pleasure with or the verisimilitude of reproduction of the recording. Most of the alternatives to the bog-standard glass fuses found in equipment I have tried bring something 'juicier', more palatable to the table, to reproduction. But, none reach where the AHP reaches. That's my mileage. Take it or leave it.
