Simple, Effective IWB Holster for Concealed Carry
This is my third Blackhawk A. R. C. IWB Ambi Holster. Obviously, I am a huge fan of this holster. I have one for a Springfield XDs 45 ACP 3.3 and one for a Smith & Wesson Sigma SW40VE. They work beautifully. They are the perfect size and weight. Each holster comes with two belt hooks, one for 1.5" belt and one for 1.75" belt. The hooks can be mounted on either side of the holster for right- or left-handed users. This also allows the wearer to wear them in different positions (appendix, hip, small-of-back). Cant and ride height as well as retention detent are adjustable. Holsters are made for specific guns, and hold guns very securely. I would have an A. R. C. for each gun I own if Blackhawk made them.
That said, I ordered my latest A. R. C. for a Ruger LCP, which I carry as a backup to whichever of the other two I am carrying as primary on a given day. The first time I wore this holster, I noticed that the LCP would not "snap" into place. Not wanting to risk having the gun work its way out of the holster, I tried tightening and loosening the detent, but neither would lock the gun in place. I also noticed that the holster was larger than my gun was tall, and wondered if perhaps I had ordered the wrong holster. I called Blackhawk, and while I was on hold waiting to talk with a technical representative, I incidentally solved my own problem. Looking closely, I noticed that the shape of the bottom part of the holster was identical to the shape of the trigger guard of my gun. I tried sliding the gun in with trigger guard flush with the bottom of the holster. Once it was all the way in, I heard and felt the familiar "snap" locking it into place. I tried this a few times more to be sure it wasn't a fluke, and then adjusted the detent to suit my personal preference.
The Blackhawk representative told me that this holster is actually made for the Ruger LC9 which has a larger barrel and slide than the LCP, even though the lower part of both guns, including the trigger and trigger guard, are the same size and shape. This explains why there is so much unused space above the slide of my LCP. This extra space doesn't effect the detent once the gun is locked in place, but it makes the holster a bit bulkier than it needs to be. I understand the economics of making one holster to fit multiple guns, but personally, I would prefer a smaller holster for this very small gun. Still, I love A. R. C. holsters and will likely buy a few more.

Extension Magazine for SIG P220
1 of 2 found this helpful I haven't used this magazine yet to feed live ammo, but I've put it through its paces using Snap Caps. I loaded and reloaded it several times with no problem. It snaps right into place and locks tightly. The movable end piece can slide up or down to fill the very small gap between it and the bottom of the grip. It is simple to load even though the spring is VERY tight. I couldn't load more than about three rounds by hand, so used my Maglula to fill it up. Spring tightness should diminish with use.
I plan to carrying it daily. I currently carry my SIG with one 8-round mag inserted and a round in the chamber, and a second 8-round mag on my belt. I recently bought a two-mag belt pack and will carry the 10-round mag in this with the 8-round, or I may carry the 10-round mag in the gun and the two 8-rounds in the belt pack. Either way, I plan to take the 10-rounder to the range and empty it a few times before actually using it.

Makes Mag Drops and Reloads Faster and Smoother
I also have a Beretta 96A1, which I love, but my short thumb could not reach the magazine release without me completely releasing my grip and using both hands. The checkered, oversized release is large enough and sticks our just enough more that I can now drop a mag without releasing my grip.
I recently bought a new 92FS and had the same issue, so I ordered another release like the one on my 96A1 and installed it. Problem solved! This gun came with a 30-round magazine, and it dropped it as easily as the two regular 15-round mags that are standard with this gun.
