The only simple license plate hinge on the market...?
The rocket scientists who designed my new RV put the cable TV connection port within the width of a license plate from the license plate mount, meaning the plate blocked half the port and had to be removed whenever we wanted to hook up to campground TV. This is the only unit I found that allowed me to hinge a license plate so I could tilt the bottom up slightly to access the occluded port. It's a very simple design, but some of the included bolts were frozen to the nuts and ended up snapping instead of unscrewing, requiring replacement hardware. Other than that, it's worked fine so far; hope the plate stays down when we take it out on the road.

No-hassle installation
I was very pleased that this replacement part "dropped into" my 2002 door opener with absolutely no hassle. (One of the few repairs I've undertaken this year that didn't introduce its own set of complications.) Plus, the price was right.

Best choice I have found for this requirement
First off, I've never found a battery-powered irrigation unit with any longevity, including this one. But when you have an area without power that needs irrigation, you have to choose the best of what is offered. I like this unit because it lasts about two years in the debilitating desert sun and climate, has a good repertoire of control functions that are easy to set to get the schedule you want, and a battery "drawer" that doesn't require you to climb under the unit and fiddle with delicate wires and plug connectors.
