Works exactly as needed - Professional Quality
You get what you pay for, and this converter delivers. Has been able to handle all resolutions I've thrown at it, including 240p. I used this to convert a SNES and NES video signal to VGA to then run through a scanline generator. Worked perfectly. If you TV doesn't handle old video game consoles well, this will get the job done for you. Cheaper converters leave artifacts or don't work at all, you need a converter of this caliber to do the job.

A top 5 game for the SNES
If you own a SNES, this is a must. Great platforming and collectibles give this strong replay value. If you like Mario games, you'll love this. This contains a battery based save feature so if the battery hasn't yet been replaced, prepare to replace it soon if it is still working. This will require minor soldering.

Good for video, not for retro games
This works as intended if your use case is watching movies or TV shows with 480i input.
I tried to use this with a NES and SNES, and while I do get a picture, I also get a wide vertical yellow bar of artifacts going down just left of the center of the screen (see photo). This seems to suggest it doesn't handle 240p input properly. If you want to play retro consoles, spend the money on a higher end converter.
