Good taste is timeless.
Swell artwork by an appealing artist who is hip but not afraid to be corny. Outstanding presentation and design. It’s got a good beat, you can dance to it, I give it a 98.

GHOSTS FROM THE PAST
0 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this film because my daughter was to impersonate Dorothy Parker in a "living history" project at school, and Jennifer Jason Leigh's portrayal more or less captures the late author's speech patterns from elusive recordings of interviews, etc., as well as giving a more or less accurate portrayal of her life and friendships. The performances are uniformly good, and give younger viewers a glimpse at the "lost world" of the Algonquin Round Table and their circle of acquaintances. No one who remembers film and radio appearances of Benchley, Woolcott and the others will be fooled, but impersonation is not the goal of Hollywood biographies. I would say that, in terms of intent and performance values, this is better than most.

Nice packaging for a price more interested parties can afford
An excellent overview of Crumb's sketchbook material over the time period covered. It's nice to have this material in scholarly hardcover volumes at a reasonable price.
