Beautiful Pictures - Content Lacking
I was a little disappointed in the "Authentic Log Homes" book. It was full of nice pictures of the rebuilt homes with "staged" interior photos. I was hoping for a few pictures of the deconstruction process and the erection of the new home using the vintage logs, along with descriptions and the problems and rewards encountered during the process of reconstruction . All in all, a very nice book; just lacks content for those interested in antique log home construction details. RLP

Great History on California's Gold Rush Camps and Towns.
An interesting book for those interested in the gold camps and mines along California's highway 49. Book contains many pictures and stories from the era not found in other publications. The pictures have been digitally enhanced to show more detail. A well-researched book written in a sometimes dull and sometimes interesting format.
