Clear coat.
This clear is the best I’ve used next to actually spraying out of a paint gun. My only complaint is the volume you get in each can for the price. Great finish. Good for small projects that you wish not to bother with a paint gun.

Nice cover. Works as intended. I tried to over stretch over my helix and tore a corner of it so don’t force it.

Very strong.
It’s a very strong transom saver so I don’t worry about it wearing like aluminum. But my only issue with it is the rubber. I am now on my 3rd replacement within 5 months. Each one has split. I use my boat often, more than most I’d would say in a season. I have a 2021 mercury 90 and the lower unit is different than my previous 2008 engine, so I’m wondering if this is the issue. The engine does not stay center while driving down the road, it always turns to one side. More than likely this is causing the rubber to tear over a short period of time. The first time I noticed the rubber failing the lower end had been rubbing against the securement bolt and chipped my brand new engine. I do not squeeze down the trim too tight on the saver so rule that out.
