Truly plug and play.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have several PC's connected directly to a Linksys E2500 router and several PC's connected via the Tenda switch, and I find no difference in Internet or network connectivity. Excellent.

Very respectable drive and works well for backup
This is an internal SATA drive, however I am using it as an external USB 2.0 drive. It works great. In benchmarking the transfer of 7.6 GB data from a Lenovo Ideapad with a Ryzen 7 8845HS processor and 16 GB of RAM, the time it took was 4m 17s. That works out to around 237 mb/s, so that's quite respectable. You can never achieve the 480mb/s rating of USB 2.0 in the real world.

Excellent product and far better than the Linksys E2500 I replaced
My Linksys E2500, which I have been using for a number of years did not have the WIFI coverage I needed in my house. Now the coverage is much better and my wired internet download went from 56 Mbps to 69 Mbps (a 23% improvement); upload stayed the same (~27 Mbps). Most notable improvement was with wireless. The router is on the second floor and my PC is on the third. With wireless my speediest.net download stats went from 18 Mbps to 36 Mbps (a 100% improvement), and my upload stats went from 10 Mbps to 21 Mbps (over 100% improvement). Setup was extremely straightforward. I allowed the wizard to do its thing, then I logged into the router's setup screens (which were nice) by entering its IP address (192.168.1.1) and personalized the SSID and password.
