looks different but is working fine
I did not think I was going to be able to use this twine needle because it was so different from the original. About half the weight and looked to have a tighter circumference. But I had hay down waiting so I put it in. I was able to get the clearances in the bale chamber and miss the knotter discs with the wear plate, but it had a shorter throw, wound up a half inch or so behind the other side original needle. I have run it for one circuit, and it began to knot along with the original and was throwing bales until I tightened the drag on the twine at the dispenser end. I am thinking that this will work, I need to set my twine drag and then, odd as it seemed looking at it, I can make bales.
Oh yes, I am using it on a McCormick/IH number 46 baler which I have read was somewhat touchy even when new... guys saying that tying problems have always plagued this model

Good chain
I am using this chain on an older Yamaha with modest horsepower, one I ride about a thousand miles a year. This chain fits that purpose well, it has a master link (big plus) and seems to wear about as well as you'd expect from a plain roller chain.
I wouldn't use it in my 70 HP touring bike but it is fine for my 30 HP local fun bike.

Top quality
JT sprocket kit. The fit was so close that at first I thought the front sprocket was not going on. But I aligned it carefully and it slipped on smoothly with no perceptible play. I am using them with a plain roller chain right now, and they run smooth and quiet. The 16-42 combo is slightly lower geared than my old 17-44 combo, but I can be sure an o-ring 530 chain will fit with this set up. I am happy with this on my SR 500
