You'll Want More Of These Throughout The Home and/or Office.
This is a very effective wifi range extender though it is crippled in some ways. It is limited to 2.4Ghz and it does not extend ethernet wired connections to make them wifi. These are its only limitations.
A wifi range extender's job is to pick up weak wifi signals from a router, and boost them into a space where devices are trying to connect to wifi. Thus if a router is sending signals from a first floor to a third floor, on a network named "homenet," the extender will amplify homenet's signals to create an extension called homenet_EXT. A device such a smart phone now logs onto homenet_EXT and is online. There is no need to run wire and set up another router to boost signal.
This unit is neat, quick, and easy to set up. Plug it into a wall outlet. The web based configuration is foolproof and reliable. The unit's SSID can be active or turned off. The router's signal is amplified accurately without drop outs. The unit is small and unobtrusive. It's price is remarkable!
This unit fills the gap where blind spots affect wifi connectivity. It eliminates the need for additional equipment. For all these reasons, I score this unit at the top of the scales for price, reliability and utility. Great job, Netgear.

Stuns In Light of Current, Digital Antenna Mediocrity.
I have used sheet-type antennae for years, and they work sporadically at best. This little stalk with its tiny base and little amplifier stunned me. I connected it to an AT-300 digital box, and pulled in dozens of channels of free television. The sheets pull in blocky noise but this antenna pulls in high definition quality channels by the dozen. I am seeing channels I did not know existed.
I strongly recommend this antenna. Couple it with a quality decoder box and connect the box to a quality television using HDMI or discrete cables. You will not be disappointed!
