About
I m an enthusiast of mirrorless cameras and shoot with LUMIX micro four thirds and full-frames. I love trying various legacy film camera lenses, and sometimes keep the good ones for awhile. I try to keep my item descriptions honest and accurate.

Leitz is King.
Built like a tank. Awesome image quality, Best legacy lens I own, and I have a lot.

Build quality and controls are very good, but optics could be better.
Color and sharpness is not as good as a 50-yr old Minolta 100mm f/2.5 that costs less

Versatility is the key trait.
I've been shooting mirrorless cameras since the Lumix G1 came out. I've had a mix of Olympus, Panasonic and Sony micro four thirds (MFT) and full frame cameras, and always seem to come back to Panasonic because of their ease of use, good menu system, and versatility. This was my third Lumix MFT. I'm not a video photographer, so the GH5 is a bit of overkill for me, and I'm in the process of replacing it with a G9. I generally have both a full frame and a MFT and use a lot of adapted film camera lenses. This combo makes each lens have two effective focal lengths. I think the image quality of the MFT format equals that of the full-frame in good light. I highly recommend the GH5 for advanced armature photographers, and for a travel camera for professionals if equipped with a good lens. For video enthusiasts, the GH5's reputation speaks for itself.
