This stator lasted a few hours embarrassed me at my school. I'm going OEM
I installed this stator along with an entirely new electrical system. New ecm, new flywheel magneto, new wiring, harness, new rectifier, new battery. Went to fire my baby up and it read 14.1-14.6 volts and when at 5k rpm it went to 14.5-14.8 I am at fault for not doing more extensive testing and test rides. But after all that work I was ready to ride. So I make it to school in the morning, all my haters watching, feeling like the man now! I'm leaving school, hop on the bike and turn the key, and click click.. bike won't turn over so I smoothly walk off and let ppl leave. I go back to the bike and tinker with it. I managed to gain the confidence to get as far as I could. I make it to the dumpster at my apartment, and this is all after running red lights weaving traffic and lane splitting. Just to make it home. I have all this on my go pro as well. I understand the price is low for a reason so I take the blame on this one. How do I know it was bad. Well I make my living doing rebuilding sport bikes. The rectifier will need replacing as well now. Part did come super fast, it looked like a quality product. The wiring used to connect to the rectifier is wiring that a cheaper audio store would use to in order to save on cost. In order for a stator to generate and supply as much current as possible wouldn't you want higher grade copper wire? My .02 cents. Not asking for anything in return just a little ticked off that I'm considering on selling my bike do to always having electrical issues. Good thing I have 2 other bikes!

If only i had a time machine
0 of 2 found this helpful I bought this clutch kit thinking that my bike would no longer slip at 6k rpm, well not even 25 miles later it slips at 9k rpm. I almost got hit this morning pulling into traffic. I was excited it came so fast, but when i rode the bike and noticed the bike slipage i almost cried inside my helmet. That was my last $160 i had when purchased. You live you learn.
