Good value if your heels don't hit the panniers.
4 of 4 found this helpful Well made for the price, but despite having a hybrid bike with good length chainstays, 622 wheels and a rack which sits well back, my heels hit the front of the bags. Reversing the bags so the small pockets are at the back helps, but doesn't cure the problem. (My shoes are only UK 9/ EU43, so it is not that I have exceptionally large feet).
If you want to keep the contents dry, you can use Nikwax or something similar and make sure you cover the zips with the flaps, so for shopping or commuting you could solve the water ingress problem.
If the front of the bags were tapered to clear one's heels, I should give 5 stars instead of 3, and I should recommend them; but for me the panniers are virtually impossible to use without substantial modification to the rack.

Too flimsy
These are so thin and flimsy that they just fold up when you try to push them through the stem of a pipe. This may be acceptable for crafts, but they cannot be called pipe cleaners!

Great quality and design.
Ortlieb may be expensive, but the quality and design easily justify it. It's a rack pack which uses built in buckles to attach it neatly and firmly to the Ortlieb panniers without the need to carry bungee cords, totally weatherproof, a full size side opening, and a five year guarantee. I tried many others, but won't use anything else now.
