Great book for helping you deal with boxes & piles of inherited things you can't just bear to thow away.
Helped me create a system for organizing and preserving inherited family things. Assured me I was doing some things logically, i.e. scanning and identifying photos as I placed them in protective wrappers. Gave me tools to systematically move genealogical papers from piles to my files. Gave me a boost to get originals donated to appropriate historical institutions. I feel I finally have a handle on the boxes that threatened to take over my life. The book doesn't give you a one size fits all scheme, but does take you through steps for you to create your own scheme. Gives a little help with a quick scan, more with concentrated rereading.
