Did not fit my John Deere LX178 as stated.
This item was supposed to fit a JD LX178 however it was two inches to long. I was fortunate enough to have a chop saw and welder so I cut 2 inches out of the center of the rid and weld it back together. Also the threads were different than my original so I had to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase new ones . I was in desperate need to use the mower and did not have the time to wait a week or more to get the proper one.

One kit that rebuilds your entire steering system.
Purchased this for my JD LA115 and it was a breeze to install and all parts were a perfect fit.
A great package for the price and I would highly recommend this kit.

Idler pulley same as John Deere original
Exactly the same as original and that lasted 12 years of tough mowing. This replacement is a fourth of a factory OEM replacement.
