Great Sound
I liked this one so much I bought a second one when I upgraded my receiver to a 5.2 wit 4k pass through. It sounds great watching blu rays or listening to music. I do a fair share of both and it's very smooth, musical bass with the appropriate rumbling thunder when needed for explosions, gunfire or whatever act of destruction might be happening in a movie. Awesome subwoofer for the price. if you find a deal on one, snatch it up.

Little Speaker, Big Sound
I just got these to replace my B&W DM 570 front speakers and I'm amazed at how big these speakers sound. I already had the Promonitor 1000's for my rear speakers so I wasn't completely caught off guard, but still... wow.
These are floor standing speakers masquerading as bookshelf speakers. The mids and highs are bright and crisp without being harsh, and that bass... This little speaker digs deep. I would almost say a sub isn't even necessary, but with my large room and a receiver with 2 subwoofer outputs I opted to pair them with 2 Klipsch RPW 10 powered subs just to fill in the bottom end and couldn't be happier and from what I've been reading, they get even better after the break in period.
I consider myself a budget audiophile, and these babies definitely fit the bill for me. They can hold their own with some that are double or in some cases even triple the price. I'm definitely a DefTech convert. The CS 8040 is my next purchase. That will complete my 5.2 surround setup.
