Simply Breathtaking.
Daniel Day-Lewis steals the show. Leonardo DiCaprio might have gotten top billing, but make no mistake; this was Daniel Day-Lewis' movie, and a breathtaking performance on his part. Excellent set design, costuming, captures the feel of 19th century New York. Not 100% historically accurate, as a quick glance through IMDB will show, but the pace and flow of the movie is beautiful. And the closing theme song, the opening chords let you know that this is an epic piece-- what you'd expect from a master film maker like Martin Scorsese. In my opinion, one of the best movies I've seen.

Good series, bad DVD
I'm giving this product a rating of good, because I liked the miniseries very much when watching it on SyFy, and there's no reason I won't like watching it again. My beef is with the manufacturing of the DVD itself. Tin Man is a 2008 miniseries, and the DVD has no options or support of any kind of subtitles/close captioning. Even using the settings in Windows Media Player/Center for subtitles whenever available, there is no subtitles or close captioning when watching the DVD. I have poor recognition of high-pitched sounds and have great difficulty following a movie in the theater because I mishear the exact pronunciation of words. That's why I watch them on DVD in the first place. I was looking forward to enjoying an old favorite... and the very reason I picked it up on DVD, for close-captioning, it completely unsupported. I really thought SyFy was smarter than that. If Tin Man aired in 1998 or the like, I'd understand, but not for a miniseries that aired in 2008. Tin Man is a great miniseries and I would give this product a "5-star" (Excellent) Review but the lack of close-captioning support when DVD's manufactured 5 years earlier have full support for it, and subtitle options to boot, knock my review down from 5-stars to 4. Tin Man is a great miniseries, but SyFy messed up bad in the manufacturing of the DVD.
