Poignant read, well worth it
Phenomenal book about the ravages of World War 2 in Britain and what life was like for the children who had to be evacuated. This is a poignant story that gripped the attention of everyone in my family, both young and old. You could really put yourself in the shoes of all the characters and get a good feel for what life was like. This is also a story of what family can mean, even to those who don't family of their own. I highly recommend this book.
