not built like this anymore!
bulky and heavy, but they don't build them like this anymore! There's a reason these are still selling for hunreds of dollars. (for a 15-20 year old machine!) You don't get this performance out of a fifty dollar walmart special. Mom bought one of these when I was a kid and I have borrowed hers over the years when I needed to do any serious heavy deep cleaning. the cheap little hoovers are fine for picking up surface dirt but this old standby really does the best job. you get what you pay for. Woolite foaming carpet cleaner and this old thing are a match made in heaven! As far as allergen filtration...I have no allergies to speak of and I managed to live through my childhood without respiratory illness. I'll take an old fashioned bagged vac over all the doohickeys and filters and flaps anyday! I'm fortunate to have gotten a deal on something that will probably last me the rest of my lifetime with a minimum of maintenance. Now if I could only find the potato peeler grandma used...

Lovely compilation!
Fabulous pairings. This gives the viewer a peek at entertainers from days gone by; entertainers that had charm and personality. Inside, you'll find humor and sentiment abound ...and breathtakingly beautiful voices. I have this, myself. I often pop it in, for background noise, while I'm cleaning up in the house. The piece with Ella Fitzgerald is my favorite. My grandmother also loves Sinatra. I just got it for her, too and I hope she enjoys it as much as I do!
