Very Nice For the Price Point
The base is nicely cast and anodized. The arms are typical of the interlocking segmented plastic style and easily screw into or out from the base making it really easy to set up for a variety of projects. The unit came with a USB fan, though as I usually have a larger fan for vapors going I'm not sure I'll be putting it to use.
This unit is well built enough that it is suited for a range of skill levels and low/isolated heat applications (the arms and hand couplers are plastic so broad surface hot air exposure, glass working, jewelry repair, etc workers will probably want to look elsewhere).
I am quite happy so far with this purchase for the price point for my random soldering work and circuit repair.

Why Didn't I Buy This Sooner?
I've always used wet cleaning soldering stations previously, but as DI water isn't always available in emergent work situations and as lead-free solder seems to be taking over the market I've had oxidation and tip damage woes galore. I finally decided to bite the bullet on a dry style with this guy and couldn't be happier.
The stand is well built and constructed with mind to allow your iron to disperse heat well (which is especially nice if you are having to heat up and then shut down your unit multiple times a day).
While there are no super bells or whistles about this, that's almost it's advantage. Small enough to not be in the way on my desk, weighted enough that it's not knocked over too easily, fair sized cup to hold the brass cleaning pad.... Not much to complain about
As for tip maintenance, I'm really glad I made the switch. Heat, clean, tin, clean, work; and I feel each step coming out much better than I ever did with my older styled wet system.
If you're considering trying out this style of tip cleaning station, the price point of this item makes it very low risk.
I am, after two weeks of use, still very satisfied with this purchase.

Good, cheap cables
While these are most definitely not professional caliber cables, if you are looking for a spare set to have on hand, a starter set, or jumpers to test pedal setups at a cheap price point they are more than able to handle the job. Insulation feels of decent quality and the jacks as well, so my guess is the savings come from thinner gauge wiring and downgraded (if any) shielding. For the price, and for my at home (as tester cables between rebuilt components) needs, I am quite content.
