Second one and still impressed!
I bought the first Harminy Smart Control for my "dungeon" because I was so tired of using 3 and 4 remotes and I had relocated everything into a closet when I upgraded my old Sony AVR to the Sony DA5200ES and now had HDMI switching. The wireless remote made this possible and the IR blaster (I cut and extended the wire so it plugs into an RCA on the wall behind the TV) brings the IR out to the plasma screen. I have no problems with IR in the closet rack. I suspect the gloss white closet door does a great job of reflecting the IR signal from the hub to the fronts of each device. I have my Uverse DVR, Roku, Sony AVR and old DVR and an old CD changer (still works 😉) in the rack and have activity buttons to instantly switch between watching TV,Roku,DVD etc or to listen to music on CD with all appropriate sound field and input settings adjusted for each.
Extremely easy setup using only my iPhone and I love the small and simple remote. (would be nice if it was somehow illuminated, but ease to learn and use in the dark). If I want to make more advanced changes like adjusting the Sony sound field etc., I can use the iPhone interface to use the device management. The coverage of individual types of equipment and detailed control mapping that are supported by the harmony hub and device database are amazing or you can roll your own if required. With the Alexa skill enabled I can just tell her to turn on devices like TV or Roku or specific channels, play/pause, vol up/down or as I walk out just "turn off entertainment center" and everything is shut off. (I she could only figure out what I want to watch for me 😂).
My wife and kids always had to have me help them turn things on before, but now I can't get them out of my dungeon (one bad side effect of the ease of use). But now I have installed the second upstairs and put away 3 more remotes. My family loves it and now I can control either system from my phone. (fun messing with them too ;-).
I am now extending into using smartphone features of the hub to see what else I can do. (maybe an AI to figure out what I want to watch)
My experience with Harmony hub, Smart Control and iPhone interface (and Alexa) has been great!!!

Excellent light output and pattern and solid construction (added a photo)
1 of 1 found this helpful I have had a pair of these mounted under the bumper on either side of the trailer receiver on my ‘07 Tundra Crewmax to supplement the pathetic factory backup lights. Facing to the rear does cut down on lens abrasion ;-) Even though these get flooded with water and road debris constantly being under the rear bumper, I have never had any problems with water getting into the units. The single center mount makes it easy to find just the right outward angle and these things light up the world behind me when I put it in reverse. I have just ordered two more sets to install on my and my daughter’s 4Runners. Very well built and very bright. A fantastic deal for the cost and then some!

Great replacement for factory sub in 4Runner / JBL Synthesis system
This unit is a perfect replacement for the factory 8” sub in Toyota 4Runners with the JBL Synthesis system. It is a perfect physical fit and matches the original speakers dual 2 ohm voice coils. Be careful during install to insure enclosure seal and to prevent introducing any panel rattles. The factory sealed enclosure is a great match to this drivers parameters. Be sure to take it easy the first few days and allow the driver to loosen up and “break in” and you will be very happy with this setup ;-)
