Mr. Moto Collection - Volume 1
I was interested in seeing Peter Lorre play this character. I think that he is a good actor and does an acceptable job portraying the character. These movies must have been envisioned as cheap money makers at the time they were made. Other than taking the name of the main character, most of the plots do not seem to relate to the series of Marquand's Mr Moto novels from which they were inspired. In the case where the story seems to be drawn more directly from an actual novel, the film is a very pale version of the book. The books are much more complex and interesting than the movie. The books provide an interesting look into the attitudes regarding Japan during the period prior to World War II. I recommend reading the books and not bothering with the movies.

Secret Agent Man from the 60's
It is nice to find this series presented in its entirety and in a good clear copy. It is interesting to see the 60's take on spying. It is remarkably non-violent, probably unrealistically so. I doubt that one should expect much realism. I found the shows entertaining and like Patrick McGoohan's performances. His character is an interesting blend of intellectualism and brute force. This may reflect Mr. McGoohan's real personality. His biography states that he excelled in mathematics and boxing in college. I find this series an interesting precursor to his later work in the perhaps more famous series "The Prisoner", which he co-created. I recommend purchasing and watching this series but would try to buy it for no more $50 for the set.

White Room is it.
0 of 1 found this helpful I found that the only song on this CD that I wanted to hear was White Room. Maybe my tastes have changed or Cream really was not all that memorable a group.
