The Nikon 500mm F4 G VR is a real value on the used market at a fraction of the cost new. Hurry they won't last.
This is a great lens and the used Nikon 500mm G has a price point that is hard to believe compared to any other large telephoto lenses. The 500mm F4 G VR is the perfect wildlife lens and the weight of the 500mm VR G is not difficult to manage with the proper tripod or window mount. The weight saving on the FL version is not worth the five thousand dollar difference in price. This is an incredible lens for tack sharp images.
