England's purest New Orleans jazzman on top form
Ken Colyer's band is considered the most authentic of British exponents of New Orleans jazz. Many of his recordings were marred by poor sound, the banjo usually dominating the rhythm section ( hear the live concert from Manchester with George Lewis for an extreme example ).This late period live concert is an exception. Everything is crystal clear except the muffled vocals, the band is in good spirit and Sammy Rimington's work both on clarinet and alto sax is outstanding. If you want to check out Colyer's work this is a good place to start.

Julian Sprung is still one of the top ex...
Julian Sprung is still one of the top experts on the marine aquarium. A lot has changed since these books appeared but there is still a lot of wisdom here.

Good music, but not all rock and roll....
The German Bear Family label can always be relied on for excellent sound and packaging. This is no exception. Marty Robbins had a great voice and there are some good tracks here. However this is the third in the series and we are now entering the 60s. Therefore some tracks have nasty Nashville production featuring heavenly choirs etc.
