Nice viewer but one flaw
This Zuma SV-3 slide viewer gives a nice bright image but has a flaw which could easily be avoided.The LED color temperature stated on the box” “Daylight 6500K” is way TOO HIGH which removes any subtle red warmth from a slide leaving a cold cyan cast.
Color accuracy is very important when one is evaluating a digital image of the slide to the original when performing computer on-display processing of jpeg images made from the slide.
Now the Hakuba KLVM70 has a color temperature of 5000K and gives true color rendering but one must use a reading glass to magnify the image.
By adding a CC20R, CC30R, or CC40R this warmth can be restored which means purchasing a Kodak Wratten Color Compensating filter. I have purchased a 4”x4” CC10R which I will cut into 2”x2” squares which will be combined together to create a CC30R and placed in front of the light source just behind the slide. Another option is to purchase a 3”x3” CC30R acetate or gelatin filter and tape over the top of the viewer.
If you have the Kodak color print viewing filter kit R-25 you can experiment with the density of Red filter you need. I think CC30R is about right – any more will start to add some reddish cast to highlights.

No good for whole almonds!!
This nut chopper will not work for whole almonds! They are too hard and thick. Extremely difficult to turn crank with almonds – I did try and bent the rotating arms inside. Use it for sliced almonds and it will be ok as well as for the softer walnuts, cashews. and others. Will look for a chopper which can handle whole almonds, chopping them with a knife blade end is just too time consuming. Live and learn.
