Great for my use
Nice little canister filter and a good price. Using mine with just biological media, not for filtration. Good flow for nitrifying bacteria.

UVA, really?
1 of 1 found this helpful This same unit is listed under many different "manufacturers," yet none state the % UVA. Maybe it is UVA, but you can get a better tan using a reptile 15.0 UVB bulb, and much cheaper...30% UVA, 15% UVB. Melanin is the brown pigment that makes the skin look tanned. UVA stimulates melanin production, and UVB brings it to the surface...hence, a tan. Keep in mind that UVB are the burning rays, and only about 3% of natural sunlight is UVB. So, start slow. UVB also stimulates vit D3 production to aid in calcium absorption from the diet.
