Good enough for the price

It works adequately as a secondary system. Don't use this as your main TV watching experience. For £20 you get a box that runs Kodi smoothly but with the occasional buffering and freezing, even when streaming from the local network. So far I have used it for local network streaming and ITV player (via kodi plugin). If you plan to use this with an older TV that needs the AV input be aware that the manufacturers may not have taken care to properly colour code the AV cable. It took me a while to discover that the red plug (conventionally left audio) carried the video signal. Also I highly recommend having a USB keyboard handy when setting up. Using the remote to enter wifi codes and logging in to google, netflix etc requires a PHD in patience. Last niggle is that on a 4:3 display there is no way to tell the device to use letterbox display. I fixed this in kodi by setting custom video options but Netflix and other apps make for a vertically stretched display. Niggles aside, thanks to this device I can watch TV shows in the bedroom without too much fuss and without needing to precariously balance a laptop any more.

Cheap and easy way to get a powerful router.

Superb item. Be warned this is not for those who want to plug it in and have it "just work". Some effort on your part is needed to get it working, but once running you have an extremely powerful and flexible home network management system. If you're an IT geek then stop using your ISP's router and get one of these.
