Excellent product & easy to use

Excellent purchase for a novice photographer
I have been thinking about buying a camera to take record shots of birds and other wildlife whilst out and about. A friend lent me a Canon HS50 to try out and I was impressed by its ease to use and that I could carry it around without it becoming a burden (I also carry bins and a telescope). When he told it was an Ebay purchase I decided to look out for any that came up and was successful in my bid. I'm no Chris Packham but the auto function is so easy to use that I haven't gone much further than using that at the moment. The only frustrating thing is that sometimes when zooming in the auto focus does not select the subject you want it to so it results in zooming in and out to see whether it does (well thats what I do if there is a better solution then I'm all ears..) by which time the subject matter may well have moved on but this is only a minor gripe. In my opinion a worthwhile purchase.
