Free-wheeling version is children's favorite
The one I got was a "free-wheeling" version so it can be played with both in battery mode and as a regular Salty. This is great. They can move it around the yard as they want and then send it on a journey to wherever thru tunnels and over hills by putting it in battery mode. They love this feature, but not all battery Salty engines have it so check if it matters to you.

Milk does not really fully disappear
Unlike some bottles, the "milk" does not fully disappear when the bottle is tipped up. It goes down a bit, but really not much. Basically, the top is too small for the volume of liquid to go into it or the distance between the walls is too large so too much liquid is in the bottle to start with. Further, it seems to not ship well. The liquid seems to have expanded enough during transit (high altitude, low pressure) to hairline crack the bottle at the mold mark and partially escape leaving a white residue on the bottle and in the package. The pacifiers seem fine.

Fun for young, AG historical doll lover.
Kids thought it was fun. Good reading and arithmetic practice, too, so a winning combination.
