too dark

The color is just too dark. I get the transparent to get a lighter look and make the wood frame obvious. This didn't have the effect I wanted.

a decent instrument for an experienced player

Not sure that it's the guitar actually described; there's nothing on it to give either the model name or the year, and it doesn't feel like a jumbo anything. But it's a good guitar, and close to what I really wanted. A friend of mine bought one back in the seventies and it was one of the most mellow sounding, in tune guitars I ever played, and that was the reason for my interest. It's worth the money I paid for it, whether that's what the books would say or not. it wouldn't stay in tune at first, but I think it was because of new strings; its getting better. I'm satisfied, though I'm hoping Aria has info about all their models posted somewhere; haven't looked yet. At least I didn't have to get it from Japan, though, which makes me a little squeamish
