I find that the product wears over time and I buy a new one every two years. Maybe not a big issue as it is not expensive. One negative is that I would like to be able to turn the sound off.
I use it a lot for astrophotography and when the sky is clear, I leave a camera outside snapping the sky every few seconds to capture meteors.
