1-10kg seems more appropriate
2 of 4 found this helpful Bought this as a step up from a 10kg grip trainer that I already have. On the hardest setting this is about on a par with what I've already got. The adjustable spring is way too long, so on the lowest strength the grips get pushed off the stop and end up so close to each other they're virtually touching already.
Aside from being rather useless, it seems sturdy enough.

Useless - buy cheap buy twice
The hinge and barrel mechanism are so loose and poorly made it takes only a small amount of force to open the gate without unlocking first.
Not only that, but the cable that came supplied with mine is a fraction of the thickness of the one shown in the photo. I reckon a half-decent pair of kitchen scissors or a nail clipper would cut through this thing with ease.
I strongly advise spending 2-3 times what this item costs and getting something which will actually be fit for purpose.

Unusable video capture quality
Sadly, after buying this I discoveres that the Easycap is a cheap imitation of the EZcap. During use, any VHS's recorded in SP are completely unviewable, due to the converter unit causing severe screen wobble. In LP mode, it's not as bad, but still renders the output video unusable. I've scoured forums and internet sites to find a solution, and it seems to be solely down to the hardware. Spend a few more pounds and get the genuine article is my advice. If you truly value the video you're trying to convert, the money is worth it.
