Good digital point and shoot, then and now
I am quite happy with this camera, but I have to report that it’s not for everyone. If one wants to have a good P & S camera that works off of AA batteries, look no further. If one wants to fine tune the camera, look elsewhere as a solitary manual mode is unlikely to make you happy. All in all, this is a strong candidate from a strong manufacturer.

Very good battery
Most batteries this size are Nickel-Cadmium, but a scarce few are the newer Lithium-Ion chemistry batteries that are far better. This is one of those. However, due to the digital camera (Canon S20) going way back, battery usage is an unfortunate factor so much so that the manual recommends using the viewfinder rather than the rear LED on certain shots. Regardless, this is a far superior battery and I am happy with the results.

Pleased with results.
I had low expectations here knowing that the alkaline wouldn’t hold up to the original silver, but am pleased with the results thus far. The alkaline does appear to be a viable substitute for the original style battery in A series Canon film cameras.
