D70 Aging Nicely
1 of 1 found this helpful There's no doubt that Nikon's newer models have superseded the venerable D70, but for us this was a huge step up from our point and shoot digitals. Much more flexible - with a wide range of shutter and aperture speeds - as well as a huge number of available lenses. And the quality of the images really is noticeably better - certainly owing to the quality of the optics as well as the CCD. On the down side, she's big and heavy, and has a pretty small LCD. Uses the declining CompactFlash memory format - but you can still get memory that's affordable and of good quality. Overall, a nice move up for not too much more than a decent point and shoot.

Get You Started, Keeps You Going
0 of 1 found this helpful I wanted to get back into motorcycles after a 20 year layoff. I wasn't ready for a 700 lb cruiser, or a 200 mph rocket. The SV650 was a great way back! Not too heavy while I relearned the skills to survive on the street, and a very forgiving 650cc V-twin engine that didn't have me searching for the correct gear all the time. I chose the naked version for the more upright riding position, and that was very comfortable for me. The seat could do with some padding, but overall I found it to be a super ride.
