GOOD QUALITY

I have owned many cobra CB sets and figured this will ne a great item in an emergencyif they work as well as their cb radios.
Just finished range testing the unit living in Florida there are no hills and the street i tested the units on is 7 miles long straight and with no high buildings.
With the squelch on and with high power we could only talk .5 miles
Once we turned the squelch off we were able to talk 3 miles and after that the signal faded in and out, Just a note batteries fully charged
Tried several channels on high power same results
Very dissappointed in this particular product and shoul have just bought another cb set and a mag base with a K40 antenna
Almost tempted to contact my lawyer about false advertising should have said range 3.5 miles
