Doesn't meet requirements for California.
I should have researched this more carefully, as it was a dumb purchase. This does not meet California gun storage requirements, and for good reason. A few points:
1. Made mostly of plastic. I could remove this in 30sec without special tools.
2. No lock. It's just a bolt with a keyed head.
3. Easily opened without destroying it using needle-nose pliers or a pair of screwdrivers.
This might deter someone from trying, as it looks like a trigger/hammer lock, but can easily be circumvented by anyone who tries. For the price I paid, they aren't worth returning. Buy proper cable locks or a safe for your lever gun.
